About

This web page is not associated with Stephen Harper or the Conservative Party of Canada. The domain name was simply bought in contempt for the Conservative Party of Canada. Writers on this webpage do not sympathize with the mainstream Canadian right or left wing parties.

It could be said that this blog is right slanted in the sense that we emphasize individual rights and freedoms however in the modern age the right wing seems to be associated with the taking of rights. Wether that be through the War on Drugs, Taxation for the purposes of war mongering, or terror aged super security.

Like our neighbors to the south the Canadian right and left seem to faces of the same status quo and miss the important issues facing the modern world while they bicker over mundane issues.

My feeling on the matter can best be explained by renowned Professor, and mentor to Bill Clinton, Carroll Guigley, in his book Tragedy and Hope.

“The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can “throw the rascals out” at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy.”
